The Masha washing station is perhaps one of the most known washing stations in Burundi.The wet processing machinery is a Mac Kinnon, it has around 170 drying beds and can process around 750MT per year. This washing station collects cherries from over 3500 local coffee farmers spread over the 12 neighbouring collines. During the harvest season, Masha processes more than 750 tons of coffee.

At the age of 15, Antonio Vitor had his first job as a nursery for coffee seeds. He has worked for many years, always making his financial reserves for the future to buy his farm. In 1998, I managed to buy a small farm and started his coffee plantation. Today it has its collaborators in the production of natural and pulped natural coffees.

Campesino’s main warehouse is located in Jerico, Antioquia. Jerico is a small and very Catholic town, home to Colombia’s only canonized saint, Madre Laura (Mother Laura). The town maintains a rich coffee culture, but has limited access to resources. Campesino set-up shop in Jerico in 2016, providing a new option to the farmers to sell their coffee at a much higher price, in addition to forming a personal relationship with us, frequent farm visits, cupping analysis, and micro-loans for infrastructure projects. This blend is made up of 17 farms, each lot cupped religiously to find the perfect balanced cup that best represents the town of Jerico.

Tarrazu is located in the southern Pacific region, south of the capital city of Costa Rica, San Jose. It is often referred to as the area where Costa Rican coffee was born. The high altitudes, volcanic soils, and abundance of shade all contribute to the distinct characteristics of coffee from this region. Coffee from Tarrazu is known to have a heavy body with a complex aroma.

This coffee comes from the highlands of Guatemala in the Oriente Region. The region is known for its small coffee producers, who cultivated the coffee since the 1950s. Today, every farm on the mountain has become a coffee-producing unit and what was once one of the poorest and most isolated areas of Guatemala is vibrant and growing. Rainy and cloudy, Oriente is located on a former volcanic range. Its soil is made of metamorphic rock: balanced in minerals and quite different from soils in regions which have seen volcanic activity since coffee was first planted.

Description: Mr. Arturo Gelpke was born and raised in Coban, but when he grew up he moved to Guatemala city. His greatest desire was to go back to his hometown and to be a farmer, but life didn’t allow him to do so until his second son was born. After Walter’s birth Mr. Gelpke met a German who wanted to go back to Germany and was selling his land for not too much. This was Mr. Gelpke’s opportunity to fulfill his dream and so in 1970 he bought the land. Mr. Gelpke started planting coffee and tried to get his three sons into agriculture. Mr. Gelpke sent his sons to the farm every Friday after school and spent the weekend there, so as every break they had from school. As a result of Mr. Gelpke’s effort, Walter (his second son) decided to go to a school of Agriculture. Now after almost 4 years of Mr. Gelpke’s death, his two oldest sons visit the farm and are taking of their father’s legacy.

Luis Pedro Zelaya, a fourth generation coffee producer, miller and exporter, is a leader in the Antigua & Huehuetenango coffee community. He previously served as the director of the Antigua Coffee Growers Association, which was founded by a group of producers in 2000 to protect the integrity and quality of the Antigua name and coffees grown in the region. As a result of this coffee having a great profile, we picked from specific lots in this region of San Miguel Duenas, and blended them into one bigger lot.

Cafescor - Cafes Especiales Corquin - is a cooperative founded in 2012 as an initiative of small coffee producers in the town of Corquin, Copan. Beneficio Cafescor, is a wet mill that processes specialty organic and conventional coffees in the Northwest Region of Copan. Copan is a region, rich in Honduran cultural history, containing the city of Copan, which is a famous archaeological site for the Mayan Civilization.  Every year, Cafescor sponsors the celebration of the Honduran Children's Day with approximately 400 children benefitting from this event, allowing them to highlight their different educational centers. In 2017, Cafescor donated 250 ecological water filters for their members, educational centers, and health centers of the community.
